I chuckled softly and rested my head on her's once again. I stared off into the rising sun. Soon daylight would come and I would be off on yet another life threatening mission. I watched as the twinkling stars began to fade into the sun's rays of light.

I heard a slight cracking noise in the distance. I looked up as a deer would. " Kinder, wen you were attacked, wich way did they leave?"

I pondered on her question for a moment. I tried to recall my incident. They fled to the west as far as I was concerned."They fled to the west. Why?" All of a sudden a shade burst through the undergrowth to the left of me. It's weapon caught me upside the head. Searing pain flew through my body. I stood up with Nyla in my arms. I put her behind me as I drew my blades. I wouldn't let them get her. They'd have to go through me first.

I dived behind the tree we were laying on and grabbed my morningstar. I tossed a sword to Kiinder and prepared to fight. A shade jumped at me and I batted it away with a quick swipe. I watched Kinder for signs of failing.

I slashed at two shades that charged me from the front. Then I spun on the ball of my foot and downed three more. How many shades were there? Where was Nyla? Suddenly I saw a glimpse of her white hair and the glint of her Morningstar. Another shade came at me and landed an unexpected blow to my side. I ignored my own agony and put a sword through its head. Blood splattered my already bloodied face. I was now swinging my blades around me with such expertise that no shade could land a blow on me. I spoke to soon. I felt a stininging pain in my right shoulder. I spun around and scored one of my swords down its disfigured face.

I could hear his grunt of pain as the sword left Kinder's body. I stopped fighting to watch and to rush over to him should he fall. A shade gripped my hair with his grubby hand and pulled me over to him. A rusted knife was held to my throat. My breathing became ragged as I took in all that had happened so very fast. I was a captive. Most likly going to be ransomned back to Kinder for something they needed. I looked over to my love and tried not to call out to him. I could feel the shade's pulsing hand so near my own pulce. I tried not to think of how I might die if he should slip. My mind was racing as I thought of what I should do. " Kinder, I love you." I said and twisted in the shade's grip. The knife ran across my throat and I heard the blood pumping out with each heartbeat. I grabbed the knife and ran it into the shade who had taken me. I would not die for nothing. I felt more wieght on me as my brain started shutting down. I hurled and swwung and thrust the knife and felled many of our enemy. I looked over to Kinder one last time. I was lost in darkness...

OOC: Oh u cheater no one was supposed to grow unconciouss...
I turned slicing here and there and I saw a shade take my girl. Rage ran threw me like a knife through a leaf. I roared in fury and killed the shades that blocked my path to Nyla. What she did made nearly stop dead. She had slit her own throat. Now I was pissed. I killed the rest of the enemies. I walked to Nyla and heard a growl behind me. I began to turn but I was to slow I ended up with a knife through my shoulder. I wondered how it had gone through my shoulder blade, but I didn't care at the moment. I spun around ignoring the pain and took down my opponent. When I was sure that no other enemies remained hidden I went to Nyla."Oh Nyla! Please don't let me be to late." I pleaded. I placed my hands on her torn throat and said the words for a healing spell. My breathing began to grow labored. I would've healed myself, but I couldn't reach the wound or draw the sword out of the my aching shoulder. I picked Nyla up and held her against my chest. I leaned back, being sure not to shove the blade in further, and buried my face in her bloody hair."Please don't let me be to late. Please..."

I swam in a black ocean. . . My body was numb and motionless. . . I could not lift my finger. . . I floated through the dark cloud. . . I felt no pain. . . I coughed. . . My body spasmed and I could breathe. . . Ragged breaths tore out of my newly reborn lungs and left my throat burning. . . I could think. . . I opened my eyes and blinding light bombed my reborn eyes. . . I blinked and squinted and saw a sad Kinder holding my aching body. " What happened?"
